Shawn joined Keller Williams in 2014 establishing his Real Estate business specializing in providing world class service to customers who want to invest in real estate, buy or sell a home, or enjoy the life of residing in the country. Though involved in real estate investing for more than 20 years education is a top priority staying current on market conditions and trends. Shawn and his highly skilled team provide the type of service that continues to receive accolades from all of their customers. Born in Portland, Oregon. He is the son of Colonel John J. Keefe USMC (ret) and older brother of Major Timothy P. Keefe USMC (ret). After graduation from High School he enlisted in the Marine Corps. After his initial tour with the 1st Marine Division as a Reconnaissance Marine and Marine Barracks duty he attended College graduating from the University of the Pacific, Stockton, California. Upon graduation he received his commission as a 2nd Lieutenant and rejoined the 1st Marine Division serving as a Platoon Commander in 2nd Battalion 5th Marine Regiment and also 1st Reconnaissance Battalion. After serving 3 years with 1st Marine Division he left active duty. He moved to Dallas and joined Electronic Data Systems. For the next several years he was a member of Frito-Lay’s HR department and worked for an IT consulting Company. During this time he served as a drilling reserve Marine with the 2nd Battalion 14th Marine Regiment from 1980 until 1985; promoted to Captain and served as Forward Observer, Liaison Officer, Executive Office, and Commanding Officer. Reentering active duty in 1986 as a Major, he was assigned to Headquarters U.S. Marine Corps, Manpower. He was short toured and was transferred to III MEF Okinawa, Japan and assigned to the G-3. During this tour he participated in counter-insurgency operations, humanitarian relief operations, and mobilization and demobilization of USMC Reserve units. Leaving Okinawa in 1991 he was assigned to 4th Marine Division serving as the G-3 Parachute/Scuba Officer and later the G-3. In 1994, as a Lieutenant Colonel, he was assigned to the Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific, Coronado, California. In 1997 he was assigned to Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, Texas as the Officer-in- Charge Region 8 Prior Service Recruiting. In 1998 he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from Active duty. He again held leadership positions Human Resources and Personnel Staffing and Consulting until 2014. During the last decade he was recalled from retirement to assist in combat operations during the battles of Najaf and Fallujah in Iraq 2004-2005; a second period of duty from 2007-2010 serving on the MARCENT staff supporting operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. After years of investing in real estate he joined Keller Williams in 2014.
