A native Texan, Jan's roots on the Texas land are deep. She was born in the Rio Grande Valley and grew up near Temple on the farm, working in the family beekeeping business, Walker Honey Farm. The love of Texas land and community is deep in her soul, and she and her family continue to steward their land investments in Bell and Milam counties.
