Native hardwoods include live oaks, cedar elms, pecans, junipers, and mesquites. Surplus land below the 1,555 ft lake contour to the water belongs to the Colorado Municipal Water District, but provides an additional ±1,500 acres of exclusive use, depending on lake levels. There are multiple cultivated fields currently used for grazing and hay. The ranch is currently a cow-calf operation and can support up to 300 head of cows.
