Tara has been a longtime resident of Aledo, TX after growing up on ranches all over Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana as her family travelled in the horse industry. Being 1 of 6 kids, she grew up with the understanding of hard work and dedication of family! Tara has always loved everything horses, riding whenever she could and competing in Western Pleasure, English Hunt Seat, Western Riding, and later Cutting. At 17 she took her first job working for the King Ranch with the sole job of taking care of Mr. San Peppy.
After 35 years of competitive riding in the NCHA, Tara stepped off a horse and stepped into her real estate journey in 2004. Real Estate was not only a career change but a life transformation, as she was a single mom and the horse industry was all she had ever known. She took the skills she developed in the horse world and was able to apply it directly to her new business. At the core of Tara’s success is her caring and hardworking attitude, which manifests across several facets of her professional and personal life. Aside from her pioneering work in real estate, she is also known for supporting a wide range of philanthropic causes. Tara is a consistent advocate of women's empowerment and children's welfare.
A highly sought-after luxury and land realtor with in-depth knowledge of the North Texas markets, Tara's steady hand and top-notch expertise ensure the best outcomes for her valued clients.
Tara founded The Tara Stark Real Estate Group, a real estate team that is built on faith, love, and the pursuit of Making a Difference for each person the team encounters. Based in the heart of Historic Downtown Weatherford and experts in luxury estates, equestrian facilities, residential, and recreational ranch properties, The Team had the pleasure of helping 93 families buy and sell properties over this past year alone, making them not only the number 1 team in Parker County but the number 1 team in the North Texas – New Mexico – Memphis Keller Williams Region. Tara has been awarded for being the number 1 top producing Farm & Ranch agent for our region across Keller Williams International for the past 3 years.
However, her success as a real estate agent has not been what defines her over the years. It is her ability to embrace adversity, stand strong in who she is and who God created her to be, and throw the World’s formulas of success out the pick-up truck window. At the core of everything she has created lies her unconditional love for her family and the people around her. She fights hard for what is right and true and stops at nothing to accomplish her goals.
Tara serves on the Keller Williams Realty International Land Advisory Board. She is a Certified Luxury Marketing Specialist, a Certified Negotiation Specialist, a current member of the Associate Leadership Council and serves as her market center's regional ALC Representative. She has won numerous international awards including the Keller Williams Cultural Icon Award, this is awarded to individuals in KW Market Centers for their above and beyond participation and contributions to Keller Williams culture and to their communities.
Tara believes in giving where you live and loves being a part of the Parker County community. She enjoys supporting many charities such as the Aledo Advocates, Parker County Children’s Advocacy, and Careity Foundation, to name a few.
In 2020, Tara accomplished something on her vision board that she had set aside for a while, she bought a cutting horse and re-entered the competitive arena. When "not working", Tara enjoys spending time with her family, antiquing, watching the sunsets with her famous red heeler, Reba, and her recent rescue, Max, being horseback, and traveling the country competing in the Cutting Horse arena.
