Agent Bio

I have been in the real estate business, one way or another, all my working life. I started by cleaning up job sites in Peachtree City when I was 13 years old. In high school, I started my own company that offered this same service on a contractual basis. In college, I interned with an environmental firm and started their erosion control installation division to help serve residential developers. Once out of college, my wife and I started a custom home-building company in Alexander City, Alabama. We had a LOT of fun building beautiful houses overlooking Lake Martin. When the "great recession" hit, we moved back to Canton, Georgia where I took a job for an architecture firm as a Civil Engineer. While I worked as an engineer, I kept a desire to get into real estate in a more tangible and personal way. It was and still is just a part of who I am. I LOVE it...but I knew it needed to be more personal. I wanted to share my experience with others and to see people love the experience of owning and investing in real estate as much as I do. So, in 2010, I obtained my Georgia Real Estate Salesperson license and soon after joined a small brokerage out of Woodstock. I was blessed to have work even through the housing crisis. Those experiences allowed me to be well-positioned when the market rebounded and am now the owner of a thriving business full of amazing clients! I now hang my license with Keller Williams Realty Partners here locally in Woodstock. I am also a member of the Georgia and National Association of Realtors® (the difference between an "agent" and a Realtor® is that Realtor's® adhere to a code of ethics....it elevates our business by putting the client first).

While I worked as an engineer, I used my experience to qualify to sit for my Professional Engineer's License ("PE). My background in residential construction and engineering allows me to bring a unique skill set to the table. I understand building mechanics, materials, and building codes and have an eye for craftsmanship. If you are looking to sell your house, I can help you put together a list of needed repairs and provide you with an estimate of what the repairs will cost. I will even bring in contractors and help manage and oversee their work. If you are purchasing a home, I can help you look out for "lemons" and will always point out and explain the different types of construction, construction materials used (pressboard vs concrete siding, hard coat vs synthentic stucco, etc) and explain what implications they have for you as the future owner. Of course, we always rely on the home inspector to provide us with a detailed report of the property's condition from foundation to roof.

I am also an investor. I own multiple commercial and residential properties with my wife and with a business partner. Investing in real estate is how we plan to change our family legacy. Investing smart is how we do it safely without being overleverged in bad deals. My engineering mindset really just means that I am a nerd at heart. So, I dive deep into the numbers on every deal. A big part of my job as a Realtor® is to help other investors either get started or grow their portfolios. I have so much fun running the numbers with other investors and helping them find the diamonds in the rough!

Soon, after moving back to Georgia, my wife (high school sweetheart, Olivia) and I started our family. We now have 2 wonderful children (Samantha and Walker) and live and serve right here in the heart of Cherokee County. We are members of Woodstock City Church and serve there weekly. Walker serves through our Elementary School and Middle School programs. He also stays after to help set up for his high school groups that meet on Sunday evenings. Samantha and Olivia serve the toddlers during services. I lead single men and couples through Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University to help to get them out of debt and restore themselves financially. We are all in!

Our family loves to serve others in everything we do....either through our church or even through my business. All of my events are for the benefit of a local non-profit. I have AMAZING clients that always show up big to help me support these amazing organizations. Whether that is through food, clothing or paper product donations, we have so much fun meeting whatever the current need is. It truly is a privilege to be able to leverage my position in the community for the benefit of others.
