My wife, Susan, and I have been married for nearly 36 years and have lived in Wimberley for 35 years. Susan taught for fifteen years in private and public schools. We have two daughters, a son-in-law, and four grandchildren.
I grew up as an Army brat and moved 10 times in the first 17 years of my life. My father served for twenty-eight years and retired as a Colonel. After graduating from high school in Honolulu, Hawaii, I ventured to Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. In 1986, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education (Political Science—Major, Speech Communications—Minor). In 1993, I obtained a Master of Education (Concentration—Family and Marriage Counseling) from TSU. In April 2020, I completed a doctorate in Transformational Leadership.
After ten years of youth ministry, my family and I began Cypress Creek Church (CCC) Wimberley in our living room (January 1993). I served as senior pastor for 27 years and passed the baton of leadership on January 12, 2020.
I have been instrumental in starting: The Alpha Omega Project, which distributes funds around the world to alleviate poverty (1994), Operation Good Shepherd, which combines funds from Wimberley churches and organizations to aid the benevolent needs of the community (1999), and World Wide Wells which provides funds for drilling wells and providing clean water (2014). I also serve as a Trustee on the Wimberley ISD School Board.
Having traveled to 37 countries, I enjoy experiencing other cultures and expanding my worldview. I oversee the hunting operation at the family ranch in Comal County. I hunt, fish, read, and do my best to be an honorable husband, dad, and Papa. I am imperfect, simple, and an ordinary guy.
I love real estate, and serving as your real estate agent would be a great honor.
