Ben is a land, ranch, and lakefront real estate specialist with the Mock Ranches Group, bringing a deep-rooted knowledge of Texas land and a genuine passion for the outdoors to every client interaction. A fourth-generation West Texas native, Ben spent his early years in Lubbock before living for a decade in the Mississippi Delta, where his father worked in the cottonseed oil industry. He later returned to the Texas Panhandle and earned his bachelor's degree in Biology from Texas Tech University. His connection to the Texas Hill Country deepened during visits to Inks Lake, along with time spent working and hunting on his now-wife’s family ranch near San Saba, ultimately leading them to settle full-time in the Burnet area eight years ago.
Ben’s appreciation for the land is deeply intertwined with his love for the outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, he has spent countless days in the field and on the water, developing a personal understanding of what makes a great recreational or ranch property. That firsthand knowledge helps him guide clients toward properties that align with their lifestyle goals; whether it's for ranching, investments, or a place to simply enjoy the outdoors. Before pursuing his career in real estate, Ben spent five years in medical sales with Stryker Orthopedics and later owned and operated a successful independent insurance agency in Burnet, TX, specializing in property and casualty insurance.
Today, Ben lives on Inks Lake just outside of Burnet with his wife, Brooke, their two children, Blaire and Blake. In their free time, the family enjoys time on the lake, golfing, hunting, fishing, and spending weekends at the family ranch in San Saba. With a background rooted in agriculture and a lifelong love for land and the outdoors, Ben is committed to helping clients navigate the buying and selling process with confidence, connecting them to the right property that matches their goals and expectations.
