TJ Cheek was born and raised in Coastal Georgia, where his roots run deep. Following the events of 9/11, he joined the United States Navy and served honorably from 2002 to 2007. After his military service, TJ returned home to Georgia, where he worked as a fishing guide while also serving his community as a firefighter and Advanced EMT.
In 2009, TJ married his wife, Katie, and together they welcomed their two sons, Jackson, in 2011, and Ethan, in 2014.
TJ began his real estate career in 2019, quickly establishing himself as a dedicated professional. He went on to serve in a leadership role as a Productivity Coach with Keller Williams before opening his own office. Recognizing the value of specialized knowledge and experience, TJ chose to join The Carter Group for its unmatched expertise in land and rural properties.
Outside of real estate, TJ is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt and an avid fisherman. In fact, he has even had the opportunity to fish with the real Forrest Gump! (You'll have to ask him about that!)
From his military service and first-responder background to his experience in real estate and deep appreciation for the outdoors, TJ brings a unique perspective, strong work ethic, and commitment to serving his clients.
