Mary Meg Gaekle has a heart for the city and the country, having spent her childhood summers on the family ranch in Coalmont, CO. Though a recent Front Range/Loveland transplant, Meg s Colorado roots run deep. Her grandfather, aged 16, drove a horse-drawn lumber wagon from Lyons to the Stanley Hotel build site in Estes Park. Her mother graduated from Colorado Agriculture and Mining (now Colorado State University) and her brother also graduated from CSU. Meg s parents met at Denver University and her aunt and uncle ran a successful mortgage company in Boulder. Meg spent her formative years in the Los Angeles area working as a Certified Diabetes Educator and Registered Dietitian at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and HealthCare Partners Medical Group, among others. She received her MS in Regulatory Science at USC School of Pharmacy. Meg honed her people skills as a patient counselor, public speaker, and as a deacon and choir member at her church in Westwood (where she served for 35 years). She took opera workshop at Santa Monica College and performed at McCabe s Guitar Shop, also in Santa Monica. She retired from healthcare 3 years ago and moved to Walden CO. Meg developed a passion for housing and real estate while buying, selling, and fixing up her own homes. With encouragement from friends, she pursued a career in real estate where she uses her marketing and home design instincts to help her clients find their own little slices of paradise.
